How much weight will a Layer Saver hold?
The Layer Saver was designed as a shipping vessel. A safety factor is built in for truck and travel vibration. The standard truck design will hold 2000lbs with up to 1000lbs on the upper tier. The rail version will hold 6000lbs with up to 3000lbs on the upper tier.

Will my current plastic or wood pallets fit on a Layer Saver?
Yes, the base footprint as well as the upper tier are designed to fit all plastic and wood pallets that measure 40x48.

Can a Layer Saver be adjusted to fit my product?
Yes, the leg heights can be adjusted up to 70" to fit most any product.

Do you offer a trial period?
Yes, our lease-to-own is available in 6 and 12 month increments. If the unit is not a good fit for your product we will cancel the contract in 6 months and retrieve our unit.

How do you handle repairs?
All of our units will have an identification number and carry a 2-year warranty. Repair issues will be handled at one of our facilities where we will simply exchange the units and continue the existing program.

Do you have a railcar version?
Yes, Layer Saver works very well and a triple-cell unit is available to increase the cube in a railcar.

How much does a unit weigh?
That depends on the intended use and weight. Light-weight units can weigh as little as 85#. Heavy duty models (with metal upper tiers) can weigh up to 125lbs.

Are there any start-up fees or in-and-out charges on a Layer Saver?
No, we have a low monthly rate that includes return freight. The more you use a Layer Saver, the lower your per-trip cost.

How much does a unit cost?
That depends on volume and the intended use of the Layer Saver. We have 3 programs to choose from: lease-to-own, point-to-point (which includes return logistics) and outright purchase. We would be glad to tailor a quote for one of these products and its intended use.

If I am interested in using the Layer Saver as a temporary storage unit what will the weight limit be?
In a static position in a warehouse, the Layer Saver will hold up to 6000lbs.

Are you open to customizing a unit to fit my specific application?
Yes, our engineering team would be happy to work with you expanding the Layer Saver end uses. Some engineering charges may be applicable.

What materials are used to build a Layer Saver?
Depending on the unit ordered, it could be a combination of compression-molded plastic, aluminum and steel.

Where are Layer Savers manufactured?
Cleveland, Ohio.
