Save on Shipping Costs: With fuel rapidly rising and fluctuating, companies are hard-pressed to find ways to save on shipping costs. Layer Saver allows a shipper to take its already palletized goods and place one pallet on its lower tier and a second pallet on the upper tier. Instead of 26-28 footprints on a truck you now will cube out with 52 footprints. You don’t have to pay to ship air – you can now cube out that trailer.
Maximize Efficiency: Staging shipments is easier and more efficient since the Layer Saver units are fork-liftable. After goods are placed on both tiers, the Layer Saver unit can be staged and put on the truck upon its arrival. Less trips on and off to load the truck will increase efficiencies in the shipping department. Sending out one-third less trucks maximizes every efficiency!

Reduce Damage Claims: When goods are packed upon a pallet it is common to find the bottom layers crushed and unusable by the time it reaches its destination. To remedy this issue shippers have packed fewer layers or overcompensated on the strength of corrugated cases used to pack goods. Fewer shipped rows of product result in more truckloads being utilized and ultimately, higher fuel costs. The end user will (i) totally reject the load of damaged goods, (ii) take a credit for those goods or (iii) incur labor costs to sort through the damage. All of these measures result in disputes and general tension (bad will) between vendor and customer.
